Why am I running?
It has been difficult to watch the systematic dismantling of education funding, including the blatant siphoning off of your tax dollars to underwrite the tuitions of already well-to-do students to private and religious schools.
And it has been hard to stand by while the freedom of women to make their own health choices are continuously restricted until there will be no rights at all.
Affordable housing will not spring up on its own accord. A vibrant state economy depends on stable housing for everyone, not just real estate investors and wealthy weekend property owners. Without effective legislative efforts, the average worker will be priced out of the state they grew up in, with some forced into homelessness.
Climate change is bearing down on us and time is running out to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. We must remove economic barriers to implementing alternative energy such as solar and electric transportation.
